The Arms Control Association is seeking a creative, dynamic, experienced chief editor for its monthly journal, Arms Control Today. Applicants should have a proven track record in the field of journalism/publishing, either as a journalist or an editor. A strong commitment to high-quality writing and scholarship is essential.
We are also looking for these qualifications:
Arms Control Today has been published since 1972 and is widely considered a top publication in the field of arms control, nonproliferation, and disarmament. Each 40- to 52-page edition is published in print and online.
Location: Candidates need not be based in Washington initially, but should be able to relocate no later than Jan. 2022.
Salary: commensurate with experience, from $75,000-85,000 base salary.
Benefits include: employer-provided health coverage; contribution to an individual retirement account (5% from employer beginning one year after the start of employment), paid vacation, and sick leave.
