The Galveston County Daily News seeks a skilled, versatile, energetic journalist to join its copy editing/design desk.
Viable candidates will have experience building newspaper pages using InDesign, and knowledge of AP style, grammar, punctuation and spelling.
Strong candidates will have all that, and experience in Adobe Illustrator.
The ideal candidate will have all the above, along with some skill at and desire to help The Daily News get the most from its digital publications.
This job requires working a traditional evening/night copy desk schedule.
The Daily News publishes in print five days a week — Tuesdays through Fridays with a combined Saturday/Sunday Weekend edition — and every day in digital form at GalvNews.com.
