The Grand Forks Herald, a newspaper in northeast North Dakota, seeks to fill a unique hybrid position: Digital content producer/sports.

A digital producer helps drive audience growth and engagement through daily content creation and/or production to digital publishing platforms, including website and social media management. This position also includes night-time writing duties, with an emphasis on sports.

What does this mean? We seek someone who can spend half or more of a shift tending to the many and varied needs of a top-notch website, pushing content, organizing the site and generally being the point person responsible for all things digital (news, sports and other content and our social media channels) during the late afternoon and evening.

Meanwhile, this employee also must be able to lend a hand to our sports department, covering games, writing previews and feature stories, both for online and print consumption.

The Herald is part of a family-owned company with a large Upper Midwest footprint. We offer an excellent benefits package with health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) and a very competitive paid time off program.
