Description:

The Wisconsin State Journal is looking for a multimedia storyteller who can capture Madison’s eclectic arts scene through compelling and relatable stories and video. Tell us about the spaces where most of us actually live our lives, not in the hurly-burly of politics but in music, theater and the visual arts; in books, hobbies and recreational activities; and about the artists and other creative people who bring those things to life.

Your writing must be clear, surprising, personable and accessible. You’ve got a strong digital presence, able to produce short, sharp videos, with an engaging social media style. And you have the drive to beat the competition every day and every hour.

To be considered for the position applicants must apply online at www.madison.com/workhere. Please include a cover letter and five samples of your written work or links to five recent stories, as well as links to three videos.

The deadline to apply is Monday, Dec. 7.
