Are you a wordsmith who is curious about internet technologies, home services, security systems, medical alert systems, VPNs, and more? Do you enjoy helping others understand challenging topics through extensive research and comprehensive communication? Are you a team player who will go the extra mile to ensure your work satisfies all requirements?

If so, you’re in the right place!

Who We Are

Hi — We are a leading tech company looking for a passionate researcher and writer to join our growing roster of exceptional freelancers. We create some of the most engaging content for the internet, and this moment of rapid growth and opportunity could be your chance to join us in our pursuit of this goal.

We are looking to fill our current position with a dedicated, kind, and hardworking individual who craves more out of their life and work than the title of “freelance content writer.” This undertaking requires someone who actively pursues solutions to problems, strives toward innovation, and aspires to grow and improve through guidance and collaboration.

About the Role

In this role, you will be researching and writing about various topics in the telecom space. Think reviews and “how-to” guides, as well as more in-depth and exhaustive explorations of subjects relating to home services, such as internet, television, and more. We provide our writers with consistent and regular work, so we will keep you busy, and you won’t be spending your time submitting proposals to posts such as this one. The pay rate for this project ranges from $75 to $1,000, depending on the level of involvement the piece requires.

While we certainly prefer experience in this topic, it is not a prerequisite. If you exhibit a solid grasp on all things “tech,” or if you are an exceptional writer and researcher, you can still thrive in this position. We are searching for a true team player and problem solver with an affinity for written content, not someone who has necessarily “been there, done that.”

Nevertheless, we will look more favorably on applicants with college or graduate-level degrees in English, Humanities, STEM, or other writing-heavy or technical degree paths. A degree will not get you this position, but it could be the first step to demonstrating your value and capacity for this type of work. With your proposal, please attach any previous writings that showcase your command of the English language and aptitude for originality (bonus points for pieces with technological topics).

If hired for this role, you’ll be working closely with a dedicated, close-knit team of hardworking individuals all dedicated to the task of creating the best consumer guides available online. Our management style embraces the values of “trust and support,” meaning we will immerse you in an environment where the entire team works toward you being productive. While we are there for questions, we expect our employees to learn our guidelines and manage their workflow accordingly. Nobody will be holding your hand each day. You will need to be an adult and tackle the tasks with purpose and ambition.

Finally, we have a “no jerk” policy. We only want a driven and dedicated team player with an innate desire to become an integral asset in a long-term, diligent, and semi-remote team. (If this description matches your personality, include “seasoned not salty” as the first thing in your proposal, along with what you find most appealing about this position.)

The first paid writing test will be billable for $75. After, we will assess your writing prowess and determine if you are a suitable candidate for this position.
