Social5 is a social media management company that specializes in producing and publishing top-notch content for businesses across the nation. Led by former newspaper and television journalists, Social5 is seeking a talented team member who has the ability — and flexibility — to serve as both a witty wordsmith and a keen-eyed editor.
Although a journalism background is preferred, experienced marketers and bloggers are invited to apply for this fast-paced — but work-from-home — position that is focused on lifting and strengthening businesses through high-quality content and sound social marketing strategies.
Company culture matters like crazy to Social5. Preference will be given to candidates who align with our three core values: innovation, collaboration and appreciation. Social5 also looks for candidates who aren’t afraid of using technology, and who have previous work experience using WordPress.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: You will serve as a social media writer and editor, joining our full-time senior team as they shepherd more than 5,000 pieces of content through our system each month. You will be asked to write posts for Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn on deadline, and to produce long-form content for blogs and emails. You will also be asked to edit content written by your peers, ensuring that Social5 content meets the highest standards of quality. In this role, you will be asked to provide constructive feedback that elevates the writing of the Social5 team. You will also be asked to use technology to monitor the Social5 library and configure content schedulers to ensure that businesses are getting content that aligns best with their business.
GROWTH OPPORTUNITY: Social5 is looking for talented individuals who could fill leadership roles during the next 12-24 months as growth continues. Opportunities are imminent for team leaders in editorial, advertising, and social media strategy capacities as individuals demonstrate skill, initiative, flexibility and alignment with company culture.
REQUIREMENTS: Please submit a resume and writing samples to Director of Content Sherry Sorensen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
