UNC-TV, Public Media North Carolina, is actively seeking a Director of Integrated Fundraising. The Director of Integrated Fundraising manages four divisions, including Direct Response, Digital, Development Operations, and On-Air Fundraising. Team leadership responsibilities include: developing targeted online programs, supervising a person responsible for generating funds through the development and implementation of targeted online programs and other fundraising initiatives, development operations and knowledge of best practices in mining CRM databases, supervise the team responsible for membership, sustainer growth and DM strategies, digital marketing for fundraising created in partnership with the marketing department and the research and analytics needed for these initiatives. The director also oversees and influences the building-wide teams responsible for on-air fundraising, customer data analytics and audience services.
Overall responsibilities for the Director of Integrated Fundraising include, but are not limited to:
The Director plays a key role in developing, planning and executing annual and long-term digital, direct mail, telemarketing and on-air fundraising strategies and will provide data-driven insights for tactical and strategic plans that inspire supporters, members and audiences to donate and support UNC-TV. The Director will collaborate with public media and other external non-profit fundraising partners to increase engagement and financial commitment to UNC-TV, will lead the premiums/gifts programs, and will be charged with partnering with Marketing and Content to develop a robust ecommerce platform.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of proven, measurable success in multiple facets of direct response (digital, on-air and mail) fundraising and donor acquisition, and an advanced knowledge of current and effective direct response marketing techniques and best practices including use of AI in predictive modeling. This might include, but is not limited to, analyzing key metrics to optimize the digital donation experience, utilizing A/B testing, and implementing strategies to increase open and click-through rates, all with the goal of maximizing return on spend.
Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment and at least ten years related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. At least five years demonstrated successful management experience is required.
