StateImpact Pennsylvania is a national award-winning multimedia, data-driven reporting collaboration that focuses on covering the fiscal and environmental impact of Pennsylvania’s booming energy economy, including natural gas drilling. We are increasingly focused on reporting at the intersection of the state’s fossil fuel industry and climate change.
StateImpact is a partnership among WITF, WHYY in Philadelphia, The Allegheny Front in Pittsburgh, and WPSU in State College. Broadcast reports are heard on public radio stations across Pennsylvania and periodically on NPR. StateImpact Pennsylvania has a dedicated website that has become a “go to” site on energy issues in the commonwealth. The collaboration has been recognized with a 2013 duPont Columbia Silver Baton and multiple RTDNA Edward R. Murrow Awards.
