The Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond has an immediate opening for an Economics Writer.


The Economics Writer proposes and writes articles for the Richmond Fed’s economics magazine, Econ Focus; a monthly essay series, Economic Briefs; and other publications. We’re looking for someone with excellent writing skills, a firm grasp of economic principles and current public policy issues, and the ability to understand and interpret economic research to join a highly collaborative team of writers and editors. A successful writer will be able to translate complex ideas in a compelling and accessible manner for a nontechnical audience. Salary and benefits are competitive. The position is located in the Bank’s riverfront headquarters building in Richmond, Va.
