DepressionAlliance.org (DA) is an information portal helping ~300,000 monthly visitors find information about best treatments to anxiety and depression and helping them connect to service providers and products. Depression Alliance has a very strong domain authority with ~ 15% m.o.m. traffic growth.
The vision is to develop DA into “the webMD of mental health” and become the dominant authority in the space of all things mental health.
DA has started its new phase of growth and monetization. DA is assembling an all-star team by having brought on-board a new CEO with a previous startup exit and strategic advisors who have built web properties with 100M+ visitors. DA has partnerships with the top players in the mental health, medical cannabis and psychedelic therapy spaces.
Produce and publish new content in a creative way
Liaise with clients and in-house team members to decide on new posts
Oversee layout (images, graphics, videos and artwork)
Check content for accuracy
Proofread and edit material
Collaborate with professionals (e.g. web designers, marketing executives and photographers) to improve article presentation
Use SEO and social media (and leverage SEO best practices and SEO resources both internally and externally)
Ensure content is up-to-date
Comply with copyright and privacy regulations
Monitor website’s traffic to measure popularity
Keep track of developments in web technology
Proven work experience as an editor of an online publication, health and/or mental health related is preferred but not necessary
Proven experience with large scale online publications (over 1M unique visitors a month)
Editing skills with a demonstrable portfolio of published work
In-depth knowledge of SEO and on page optimizations ranging from H1, H2, and H3
Experienced with lead generation business models, and the range of content and funnels those can create (preferred)
Extreme attention to detail
Passion for mental health topics
BA / BS or undergraduate degree in journalism or related field
Comfortable working across culture and time zones with remote teams
Passion for personal growth and succeeding against challenging goals
Basic knowledge of visual editing software (Adobe Photoshop)
Competitive compensation + performance bonus. This can be a remote position. You will report directly to the CEO, and have direct access to a top content agency with a scalable writing staff.
