Small 501c3 non-profit near Peoria, Illinois, dedicated to helping Students in Illinois who are Blind or have Low Vision succeed in life, seeks freelance writer for monthly biographical interviews of adults with visual impairments, special projects, and a special education tech blog.  Interested candidates may send a resume/cover letter, and 3 writing samples to:

A bachelor's degree in Journalism is required, as well as a proven track record writing feature stories/articles in newspapers, magazines, and for the web.  This is a freelance arrangement that offers a flat fee for each piece written.  The finished articles will be prominently displayed on our website.  This is a great opportunity to write from anywhere in the United States, interview remarkable individuals with visual impairments, and be part of a great cause.  Please send a letter of introduction, an updated resume, and 3 of your best clips to: danielackley@sensoryresearchfoundation.org.
