We are looking for freelancers who can write on U.S. Politics and Current Affairs.
The individual should understand U.S. politics, players and issues; and be able to find interesting angles to write about. We are not looking at regular, dry political stories but ones that evoke reader interest. The individual should be able to spot interesting angles that would resonate with audiences from social media, TV and regular news, and expand on them with facts, context and background.
The ideal candidate is a quick writer and someone who can quickly spot patterns and connect the dots when news breaks.
We are looking for someone who can:
- commit to a stable writing gig (if you know you can't, please don't apply -- we would like some stability)
- work in a shift (7 am to 3 am ET; or 2 pm to 10 pm), Monday-Friday
- write 3-4 articles/ day (if you are a fast writer who can maintain quality, you can earn more)
- understand SEO, and is good at spotting stories from social media
It helps to have that digital hunger that makes you want to write that one more story each day so that your queue is filled with multiple reads we can't wait for sharing. You will get paid fairly, with nice rewards, and this is a spot you can make a digital news mark and send your career sailing if that's your desire. Send your resume, cover letter and areas of writing passion, and potential start date to firstname.lastname@example.org
