The Pine Barrens Tribune is looking for a part-time reporter/journalist to cover happenings and local government meetings in Burlington and Ocean Counties.
Covering small-town/local politics is a big part of what we do, and the ideal candidate will have a passion for, and thorough understanding of, politics and how town council/school board meetings work. The candidate must know how to decipher meeting agendas, resolutions, ordinances and budgets of town council and school boards. Advanced effort is critical--and so is following up to explore issues at greater depth. This position also entails covering events and writing features.
