As the new editor - marketing, you will be tasked with doing the following:
Manage both the pipeline and individual performance of a writing team, with direct reports located throughout the world while adhering to Fit Small Business best practices
Act as the primary management contact for direct reports and provide training, coaching, and ongoing feedback through 4-5 weekly one-on-one video calls
Edit, discuss, and review completed articles within 4-5 business days with direct reports
Plan, deliver, and manage quarterly Rocks for every direct writer report, taking full responsibility for the performance and management of your team
Proactively address any potential issues by communicating concerns with your direct manager and providing solutions for resolution
Support the other legs of the stool with proactive communication and collaboration
Ensure all writers have 6 points worth of content on the Friday before a new week and that tools such as Trello and FitProject have correct and updated information for accurate company reporting
You have at least 2 years of experience in a business-themed publishing or marketing role, with a track record of success. In addition, you have experience with training others on marketing processes and with how to use tools such as website builders, Facebook Ads, social media scheduling software, or press release services. Bonus points if you have experience managing direct reports and writing or editing marketing-related topics.
