The New Jersey State Bar Association is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated editor who can perform copyediting, content editing and proofreading for a variety of legal publications, including newsletters and the NJSBA’s bimonthly magazine. The editor is responsible for assuring the integrity of the editorial content of publications and must have strong organizational skills.
A successful candidate:
Must have an excellent writing and editing skills. Must be able to express ideas in a clear, organized, concise and logical manner and meet multiple, aggressive deadlines. Must have excellent knowledge of grammar, usage, punctuation, and style as well as sharp attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to serve as a liaison between the NJSBA and the volunteer editors and authors through all stages of production. Must effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.

Educational requirements: Must have a bachelor’s degree. Knowledge of the legal industry and terminology is helpful.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
