Marquee Sports Network is the future exclusive television home of the Chicago Cubs in partnership with Sinclair Broadcast Group (Nasdaq: SBGI). It will be the Chicago-region’s exclusive network for fans to view live Cubs games beginning with the 2020 Major League Baseball season and will also feature extensive pre and postgame coverage, exclusive Cubs content and other local sports programming. Marquee Sports Network brings together one of the most iconic sports franchises in the country with one of the largest television broadcasting companies to deliver unprecedented Cubs coverage for fans.

We are seeking a Coordinator, Social Media for this newly formed regional sports network. This vital team member will focus on marketing, with the unique opportunity to help introduce Marquee Sports Network to fans. They will contribute to the development of our voice in a way that drives awareness and engagement with consumers.

Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing, the Coordinator, Social Media will be a guardian for the Marquee Sports Network brand. Our ideal candidate has experience executing strategy and campaigns across all social platforms. They will support brand marketing efforts, leveraging every platform to develop Marquee Sports Network’s relationship with consumers within Chicago Cubs territory and beyond.

This includes aiding the broader marketing team across a variety of disciplines - paid advertising, online and brand strategy, as well as facilitation and planning of the daily content calendar, post scheduling, creation of performance reports, and asset management. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly organized, social media savvy, and passionate about brand marketing and the digital space. They will leverage their understanding of regional insights, demographics, and psychographics to influence marketing initiatives and have a clear understanding of competitive environment, marketing and social trends.

This person will contribute to the development and execution of an integrated marketing and communications plan with the goal of delivering excellent communications with and among our consumer, advertising partners and network affiliates. They will collaborate with other Marketing team members, Advertising Sales teams, Programming and Production executives as well as other internal and external constituents to ensure that content and communications are consistent, effective and engaging to all audiences.
