ConsumerAffairs.com is seeking a skilled content creator with a strong sense of voice and tone who can write engaging, click-worthy articles people want to read across a wide variety of topics.
The writer will be helping us publish articles geared toward growing our online community. We’re looking to write some fun, user-centric articles around topics that matter to readers (like home and health), that are fun to read (entertainment and enrichment) and add value to our audience.
These will be easy-to-read, listicle style articles similar to the content you’re used to seeing on sites like Buzzfeed, Refinery29 and others. We want these articles to be fun, fresh and interesting to our audience.
Assignments may include topics like:
9 Home Security Tips for the Holidays
Winter Is Coming: How to Winter-Proof Your Home
7 Holiday Travel Hacks
Is the new iPhone Worth it?
12 tools to keep you safe behind the wheel
The ideal candidate:
Has experience writing for publications like Buzzfeed, Upworthy, Popsugar, Cracked and Mashable
Is comfortable writing up to 5 articles per week on a quick turn
Understands how to write copy for conversions and sales
Is experienced writing headlines and titles that get people clicking
Understands the Internet and what content people connect with and want to read
Is proficient in AP style
