Aging Media Network is a growing boutique business-to-business media (B2B) company that covers the $7.1 trillion business of aging.
We are seeking a high-energy, driven reporter to cover the dynamic and growing home health care industry for Home Health Care News, the leading source of news and analysis for executives. In addition to home health care, the reporter will cover in-home primary care, personal care and other innovative home-based care areas such as hospital-at-home models.
AMN publications reach the decisionmakers of major publicly traded companies, including LHC Group (Nasdaq: LHCG), Amedisys (Nasdaq: AMED) and others.
The ideal HHCN reporter candidate thinks like an entrepreneur, writes cleanly and is curious about a range of businesses and wants to be part of a dynamic team. Along those lines, an ideal candidate isn’t afraid to hop on the phone to chat with sources and is eager to pitch fresh story ideas on a weekly basis.
Specific responsibilities include:
-- Report daily for online B2B news websites
-- Pitch original story ideas on a regular basis
-- Collaborate with team members to write, edit and publish copy each day
-- Chase down scoops and break news before any other news outlets
-- Conceptualize, research, write and edit content for industry audiences
-- Develop industry sources
-- Support the editorial team on special projects (including podcast production and event planning), attend industry conferences, establish and maintain contacts
-- Assist with newsletter scheduling
-- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English or related field preferred, but not required
-- Three to five years of reporting/editing experience
-- B2B experience is preferred, but not required
-- Ability to multitask, take on new assignments in stride and learn something new each day
-- A desire to use new technology to its fullest
