The Beaver County Times, in suburban Pittsburgh, seeks a general assignment reporter who understands we live in a digital-first world. We are on a mission to grow digital audience and want reporters who understand that is our future. The reporter must be able and willing to tell stories on all platforms. Photo and video skills will give the top candidates a big edge. So will public safety and/or courts experience. Social media acumen also will be expected. Good critical-thinking and people skills are a must. We work in a team environment and have a staff dedicated to producing the best local journalism in the area.
Two years’-plus daily newspaper experience is preferred, though college graduates with internship experience also will be considered.
