The Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation (CiTi) is seeking a Public Information Assistant in the CiTi Public Relations Department, whose mission is to be communication leaders for public education clients, advising school districts on creative, strategic, innovative and effective communication solutions and collaboratively implementing those plans to promote student learning and educational systems.
The position involves writing news releases, photography, disseminating information to the media, creating public information materials and video as well as maintaining websites and social media platforms. Must be able to juggle competing priorities and deadlines, show initiative and common sense, bring energy and flexibility in support of a team environment. Interested candidates must have excellent writing skills, experience with Adobe software and a professional disposition.
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or closely related field, and at least two years prior experience or an associate’s degree in the same fields of study with four years of experience. Candidates must meet Oswego County Civil Service requirements, take and pass the Public Information Assistant exam and be reachable.
This position will be located at our office in Phoenix, NY.
