Through online, print and events, The Hill's powerhouse vehicles offer objective, in-depth and non-partisan coverage of the most important issues facing America today. The Hill seeks a Director of Social Media for an exciting new non-political section of TheHill.com creating news and features about meaningful positive change in such vital areas as human rights, the environment, education and health care.
You will lead the social media presence for this dynamic new sub-brand. You will set social strategy and be responsible for developing and maintaining high standards of social outreach, with goals of driving traffic, engagement, and awareness with our readers.
As part of a comprehensive social strategy you will help develop, you will also be closely involved with all stages of content creation, from idea generation to execution across platforms. Experience with social media publishing and analytics tools and a track record of success are all musts.
We are looking for someone who will be a full partner in this exciting publishing venture, who can bring creative ideas to the table and then spread the news in wide and effective ways. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, data-driven, and ready to experiment and iterate. At least three years of experience in related work is required. Experience in or familiarity with our core topics is a major plus.
