Description:

The Adirondack Explorer, a nonprofit news organization covering the Adirondack Park, seeks a watchdog and environment reporter to produce stories for adirondackexplorer.org and for the bi-monthly Adirondack Explorer magazine and app, and for the Times Union of Albany. Based primarily in Albany, this reporter will develop sources in the Adirondacks and in the capital, including state, local and federal officials and organizations active in the region.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Reporting experience, including use of public records laws and ability to analyze data; knowledge of the Adirondacks and broader environmental issues; familiarity with blogging, SEO and social media.
