WFSU-TV/The Florida Channel has a full-time opening for an Associate Producer/Reporter, Job Id 46214.

About Us:

The Florida Channel - located in the Capitol Building in Tallahassee, FL - produces 24/7, year-round coverage of all three branches of state government.  Programming includes a wide variety of state proceedings, along with daily news programs, documentaries and public affairs programs covering issues important to all Floridians.  Our programming is seen statewide and on the Internet. Our associate producer/reporters work with a team of videographers, graphic artists and editors.

Description:

In our Capitol Complex location, you will cover legislative and other state government issues for Capitol Update, a half-hour newscast, in addition to contributing to other daily and weekly news programs.

Should have at least one (1) year of professional reporting and/or producing experience in a broadcast environment. Will also assist Newsroom Managers and Sr. Producer.

Qualifications:

•           A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related area and meet the experience requirements

•           Proof of a valid FL Class E or GA driver’s license or the ability to obtain license upon hire

•           The ability to satisfy the travel and schedule requirements

Anticipated hiring range minimum is $28,500 annually - dependent on education and experience.
