The company is a global conference organiser, publisher of eight specialist newspapers and market research consultancy within the medical devices sector. Our eight titles cover the vascular, venous, cardiovascular, interventional, spinal, neuro, cardiac rhythm management and wound care fields, and are available to specialists as printed newspapers, websites and social media channels. The company organises a global vascular symposium that attracts over 4,000 attendees from approximately 80 countries.
Employing over 30 members of staff, the company is organised into four distinct business units (Conferences, Publishing, Online Education and MedTech Insights). The company has headquarters in London, UK, and recently has started developing a presence in the US.
We are looking for a full-time Managing Editor to write and edit the newspaper of a US professional medical society, and support the current Editorial team with coverage of US topics. This role requires someone with excellent writing and editing skills, highly motivated and with the ability to produce a variety of medical articles and projects from news to corporate communications across print and digital media. The ideal applicant will have the ability to work to tight deadlines. They should be highly organised and used to multitasking, and have a keen interest in medical news.
The role requires direct interaction with physicians as well as industry professionals to help raise brand awareness and boost advertising sales and sponsored content. The successful candidate must therefore be approachable and comfortable communicating and collaborating with individuals in senior positions.
This is a US home-based role. Flexibility to travel to attend conferences is essential.
