Under the direction of the Webmaster IV/Web Technologies Manager, this position supports the strategic goals of the institution by researching and writing engaging and dynamic web content for various institutional departments for EVMS websites. This position utilizes industry best practice techniques for web writing and Search Engine Optimization. This position ensures web content adheres to our high standards for accuracy, message consistency and usability.
Bachelor’s degree Marketing & Communications, Journalism, or English or demonstrated equivalent education and experience. Minimum of 1 year of experience conducting interviews and research, synthesizing vast amounts of information into more manageable pieces of information and writing web content. Minimum of 1 year experience working with an enterprise-level content management system to create webpages. Basic knowledge of HTML. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including: Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Some experience working with Adobe Photoshop or other photo editing software.
