The Washington Examiner is looking for a dynamic and inspiring senior editor. This role would suit either an editor with a proven track record or an accomplished reporter who is looking to take their career to the next level. The successful candidate should have at least six years in journalism behind them and an extensive knowledge of how politics and policy work. The exact editing area is to be discussed and decided. There will be opportunities for writing but this is an editing role with a focus on managing reporters and encouraging them to break news and develop original story ideas. A commitment to high-impact, straight news and an eye for a story is more important than specialist knowledge - though that is highly valued. The Washington Examiner is driving record traffic to its website and this senior editor will be a key management figure. Apply to Toby Harnden, Managing Editor via firstname.lastname@example.org.
