Editor Wanted...

The Record Gazette, a 20,000 circulation weekly community newspaper serving the pass area communities of Banning and Beaumont CA is looking to hire a full-time editor.  The editor will oversee two reporters, write some stories and editorials, maintain the website and paginate the paper each week.  Additionally, the editor will represent the newspaper at local community events.

Experience in writing news stories in AP style required, some management skills preferred, not required.  Experience with Mac computers, Quark and Adobe PhotoShop useful but not required.  Willing to train.  

Hourly wage plus benefits offered including health insurance, life insurance, excellent time-off-with-pay program, cell phone allowance and auto mileage reimbursement.  Good driving record, vehicle and proof of insurance required.
