The Arizona Capitol Times, a subsidiary of BridgeTower Media, is seeking a reporter to cover the Arizona House of Representatives. The successful candidate must have a nose for news, a love of politics, hate dog-and-pony-show press conferences, be suspicious of everything elected officials say, live for the thrill of digging for the truth, and love story-telling.

The House reporter is right in the thick of Arizona’s state government and politics, a hotbed of news with an uncanny history of capturing national attention. Two to four years experience working in print news industry required, and experience covering state, local or national government and political campaigns preferred. Arizona Capitol Times reporters also write for Yellow Sheet Report, a daily sister publication that provides news tips about the state’s political and government arena; and, the Legislative Report, which provides daily news on the sausage-production of the Arizona Legislature while in session. The workload is heavy, the demands are tough, and the satisfaction great.

The Arizona Capitol Times offers competitive pay and a generous benefits package.

BridgeTower Media and all subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity Employers and value diversity in our workplace.
