Precision Oncology News is looking for a full-time biopharma reporter to join our New York City office. The preferred candidate will have at least two years of experience covering biopharma and be comfortable writing about the confluence of science, technology, and business. Familiarity with personalized medicine, genomics, molecular research tools and diagnostics is a plus. You must be able to work under tight and constant deadlines. We are seeking someone who can quickly get up to speed in covering this rapidly evolving field and start writing in-depth, value-added content.
Your primary responsibility will be writing feature articles and some daily news briefs on scientific and business news related to the precision oncology market. The topics you cover will include drug trials, development and marketing of precision oncology drugs and diagnostics, and regulatory and reimbursement issues, among others. You will be expected to develop sources among industry players, oncologists, and academic researchers involved in the field. You also will be required to attend a handful of conferences and/or trade shows each year. Prior experience covering oncology-focused medical conferences, such as the annual meetings of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Association for Cancer Research, is a plus.
This is a full-time position located in our downtown Manhattan office. Salary is commensurate with experience.
