We need a solid news editor who can serve as the No. 2 newsroom leader, work the desk Tue-Sat evenings (some of it remote from home) and show reporting leadership by covering one of our most important beats – the news side of Auburn University.
We’re a small staff that counts on good team chemistry and solid work ethic. Pay for this position is in the mid- to upper-30s, but also with a wide open door to advanced opportunities for those who succeed. Our current news editor is leaving to take an editor role with U.S News and World Report, and other former staffers are at impressive jobs around the nation.
