WFSU-TV/The Florida Channel is in search of an experienced journalist for a full-time Sr. Reporter position, Job Id 45681.
The Florida Channel - located in the Capitol Building in Tallahassee, FL - produces 24/7, year-round coverage of all three branches of state government. Programming includes a wide variety of state proceedings, along with daily news programs, documentaries and public affairs programs covering issues important to all Floridians. Our programming is seen statewide and on the Internet. Our reporters work with a team of videographers, graphic artists and editors.
What will you be doing?
You will cover legislative hearings and other state government events for Capitol Update, a half-hour newscast. You will also contribute to other daily and weekly programs that may require travel across Florida.
What do we need from you?
Applicants will be given story ideas and asked to file a sample report following interview. A pre-employment background check is required.
