THIS POSITION CAN BE CONSIDERED A FULL TIME TELECOMMUTING POSITION.

Quality serves the quality assurance and process improvement needs of more than 50,000 manufacturing professionals. We report on the use of sound metrology methods, statistical analysis and process improvement techniques to significantly improve quality on the shop floor and in manufacturing planning.

Editorial coverage focuses on the practical application of and latest advancements in Metrology Methods and Equipment, Software and Analytical Tools and Quality Management and Standards. We also provide two special sections – Vision & Sensors and NDT – that offer practical how-to editorial.

Experience Required

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and at least some practical experience building contacts, researching, interviewing, and writing articles in a newspaper or magazine environment. Should have excellent writing and editing skills. Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines and multi-task are a must. Knowledge and experience with social media is a plus.

Job Duties

Responsibilities include:

  • Write 1-2 feature articles monthly
  • Develop a strong understanding of the industry
  • Manage all aspects of our social media platforms
  • Travel/attend key industry events, including trade shows, conferences and manufacturer facilities
  • Collaborate with the Editorial Director and editorial team to identify content opportunities
  • Serve as a brand liaison to internal departments (i.e., web, social, eNews, etc.); and work cooperatively with BNP staff
  • Represent to the industry our “beyond print” mentality and interactive approach
  • Participate and aid in producing editorial multi-media efforts such as video and podcasts
  • Assist in managing editorial contests and award programs. Promotion of editorial marketing efforts and audience development efforts if applicable (including magazine produced awards/ contests, events)
  • Should be available for freelancing for the Info Centers/other special projects as assigned
