Description:

For the first time in three decades, the Lewiston Tribune is seeking applicants for its sports editor position. Trib Sports is known in our region for its coverage of Washington State of the Pac-12, University of Idaho of the Big Sky and NAIA powerhouse Lewis-Clark State College, as well as our diligent reporting of the 27 high schools in our readership area. In late May each year, we pull out all the stops to cover the weeklong NAIA World Series at Lewiston. The sports editor supervises a staff of five full-timers and a few part-timers. The sports editor also helps plan coverage for our sister paper, the Moscow-Pullman Daily News. The sports editor is our primary page designer, so proficiency with InDesign is a must. Experience with PhotoShop and Illustrator are a plus. We are seeking an experienced editor or a reporter ready to move into an editor's role. The Tribune is a 126-year-old family- and employee-owned newspaper. Lewiston is routinely rated among the country's best places to live for those seeking an adventurous, outdoors lifestyle. Send a cover letter, resume and relevant clips to mbaney@lmtribune.com.
