The Manistee News Advocate is looking for a General Assignment Reporter... but much more!
The Advocate is one of Michigan's dynamic Hearst newspapers, a newspaper at which young reporters can really sharpen their skills and build a career in journalism being part of a a team producing a quality, prize-winning community newspaper. The right candidate will be challenged with covering a wide range of topics - from government, education, cops and courts, to creating self-generated enterprise features and more.
We have a newsroom in which you'll enjoy working, a place we believe is supportive of the reporting team - embracing both young journalists starting out in the field as well as more established members of the newsroom staff.
Do you imagine being able to write in-depth articles and creating impactful work in a tight community setting? We offer a chance to do it all.
Send examples of your best work and start a conversation with us. We're hiring.
