Patch is growing and looking for freelance journalists to cover Phoenix and Tucson on a daily basis. The ideal candidates have a news-reporting background and experience with digital and social media. As a freelance reporter with Patch, you'll be part of a team of journalists on a mission to build a local news business unlike any other. You will deliver news people need, including coverage of local government meetings, town events, interesting people and happenings. Payment could be per week or per article, depending on nature of the assignment.

Patch's recent growth has been covered in the Wall St. Journal, New York Times, Ad Age, Adweek, Digiday, MediaPost, StreetFight Mag and other industry press. Patch local coverage is available through our platform, our app, and through our news distribution partners, including Yahoo News, Amazon Alexa, CBS Local, MSN, Aol, Apple News and Flipboard. Patch journalists participate in ProPublica's Electionland and Documenting Hate initiatives.
