The Los Angeles Times is looking for an assistant Sports editor to join its award-winning staff.

This editor will work with our reporters and columnists to ensure we are providing the best storytelling across our multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience editing enterprise journalism across a number of sports. This editor will also work across the newsroom to help create graphics, videos, interactives and podcasts and understand what our audience is looking for in both print and digital. Duties will range from editing a quick breaking news item to our long-form journalism.

This is a leadership role and will work with other editors within the Los Angeles Times Sports department to ensure the quality of our daily report. This position is classified as Assistant Editor in the Los Angeles Times Guild. Candidates must have 10 or more years of experience working in sports journalism with a deep understanding of professional sports.
