An exceptional opportunity exists with West Loop News, a local print newspaper in Chicago, IL that will be launching in the spring of 2019. West Loop News will expand coverage of the city from the same publisher who brought you Streeterville News and New Eastside News.

We are looking for motivated writers who are ready for immediate assignment covering downtown Chicago, specifically the West Loop. A nose for local news is a must. Feature writers are also encouraged to apply. Writers should have experience writing for established newspapers and print magazines and be able to deliver five or more stories per week and meet deadlines. Applicants should have solid industry and press contacts within Chicago, or be well versed in developing such relationships to cover breaking news. 

Must live in downtown Chicago; candidates who live in the West Loop, Streeterville or the New Eastside are preferred. This position reports to the editor.
