Senior Writer/Editor for Federal Pages

Homeland Security Today is looking for a great writer/editor to join our team and cover federal homeland and national security issues. The position is responsible for contributing articles to our website and newsletters daily, editing newsletters daily, and ensuring HSToday has comprehensive coverage of major federal issues in homeland (including agencies, contracting, and policy affecting both). Excellent writing and research skills are mandatory along with the ability to work in a fast-paced remote environment. Familiarity with general homeland security issues a plus, familiarity with the "business" of homeland security and contracting issues a major plus. Assignments will include interviews, original reporting, report summaries, enterprise articles, and news aggregation. Some event coverage. Great understanding of SEO, reader interest, and keyword maximization a plus, along with fluency in AP Style.

Excellent writing and research skills are mandatory along with the ability to work in a fast-paced remote environment. Assignments will include interviews, original reporting, report summaries, enterprise articles, event coverage, and news aggregation. Great understanding of SEO, reader interest, and keyword maximization a plus, along with fluency in AP Style.
