Description:

Wanted: Reporter with a minimum of two to five years’ experience at a regional paper or wire service who is itching to cover a competitive national beat of great interest to the business and legal communities as well as policymakers. The Capitol Forum, a news service focused on antitrust and consumer protection issues, pays well and boasts a work atmosphere that is casual, flexible and entrepreneurial. We are growing and looking to hire people who will stay a while. The ideal candidate has a track record of aggressively cultivating sources to break news, and writing clearly and concisely.

The new hire will work closely with a reporter who has been covering the antitrust beat for the better part of a decade, competing against major news outlets. While this collaboration will result in stories that are group efforts, the new reporter will be expected eventually to break news on his or her own. If interested, email resume and clips to jbliss@thecapitolforum.com.
