Congressional Digest

Part-time, Freelance Position

For long-established non-partisan Pro & Con publication on congressional issues. Must have solid knowledge of federal legislation and the legislative process and the ability to condense complex material into objective, accessible prose. The primary audience for the publication is high school and university students, along with the general reader interested in current affairs. A basic level of layout and design skills is also required. Experience with InDesign is a plus but can be learned on the job. This is a long-term position with opportunities for both flexibility and growth. Work requires about 60 hours each month within a two-week period, with two months off in the summer. Work from home. Phase-in begins November 1st.
