Full and part-time reporters needed for award-winning community weeklies in Big Bear Lake, a resort community in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California, and Yucca Valley, a desert community nestled between Joshua Tree National Park and Palm Springs.

Looking for experienced reporter who is resourceful, able to juggle multiple beats, write multiple stories, and believes that everyone has a story to tell.

Multi-media experience a plus, along with the passion for community journalism.

Candidate must be a self-starter, have strong grammar skills and be AP Style proficient.

Big Bear and Yucca Valley are a small towns with a small-town feel and big stories to tell. Candidates must like small town life in the mountains and/or desert, with beautiful scenery and recreation, four seasons and snow in the winter.

Publications include The Grizzly, The Grizzly Weekender, Big Bear Now magazine, and several special sections; Hi-Desert Star, The Desert Trail, Observation Post. and several special sections.

We offer a full benefit package for our full-time employees (medical, dental, vision, life, and short- and long-term disability), while both full- and part-time employees receive mileage reimbursement and are eligible to participate in the company's 401k plan..
