The Cheat Sheet is dedicated to providing audiences the information they want in an approachable, entertaining way. We want readers to save time and live more, so we closely follow, research, and write about topics to bring you the most up-to-date guides, reviews, lists, and advice.

The Cheat Sheet is looking for a full-time Associate Editor to join our team and focus on improving the engagement and quality of our content, through images and writer workshops and trainings.


As our Associate Editor you will:

  • Report to our Quality Senior Editor and consistently deliver high-quality and professionally edited articles with an eye for improving the writer’s ability to connect with a reader.

  • Work at a rapid pace to add high-quality and engaging photos to articles.

  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with writers about their work.

  • Put together creative lessons that will help writers improve their grammar and self-editing skills.

  • Use your project management skills to manage a complex editorial board while remaining current with all internal support requests on a daily basis.

  • Fill in for your Senior Editor when needed for administrative tasks.

  • Work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and demanding environment.

What you will need to be successful in this role:

  • A four-year college degree or equivalent work experience.

  • A background in and passion for editing, as well as an interest in lifestyle content.

  • A strong grasp of proper grammar and punctuation (e.g., Strunk & White’s The Elements of Style). Knowledge of AP Style is a plus.

  • A willingness to learn quickly and adapt to the varying and ever-changing demands of the job.

  • A working knowledge of SEO is preferred but not required.

  • A working knowledge of CMS programs like WordPress is preferred but not required.
