Seeking Managing Editor for Fast-growing Real Estate Industry Thought Leader, Lifestyle Publisher and Brokerage Firm

Seeking a highly skilled and detail oriented, task-driven self-starter to produce written content that makes our consumer champion mission visible to the public and our revolutionary Lifetime Value Business Model™ impossible for the real estate industry to ignore.

 You will be responsible for a wide array of writing projects from White Papers and Product/Service Brochures to consumer-facing brand messaging and industry-facing thought leadership pieces that articulate our consumer-centric value proposition and leadership role in revolutionizing the real estate business.

As a face of the company in the community, the Managing Editor must be a highly organized, positive, and proactive with excellent communication and people skills.

This is a unique opportunity to join forces with a proven CEO who has successfully guided numerous national and international high-growth companies.

Current position is part-time working from home to start, until the opening of our new corporate offices later this year.

Day-to-day activities include:


  1. Work directly with the CEO and Senior VP to develop brand style, voice and messaging, as well as an editorial calendar that integrates Maxavenue’s consumer-centric value proposition, as well as agent-centric business and financial models

  2. Write strategic agent-facing content for recruiting that details Maxavenue’s differentiation as a strategic partner to grow their business and Consumer Champion revolutionizing the real estate industry

  3. Write strategic consumer-facing content to create brand awareness as the Consumer Champion revolutionizing the real estate industry

  4. Develop relationships and write strategic real-estate industry-facing “Thought Leader” content for publication through strategic partner channels to establish Maxavenue as the leader of a new consumer-centric Real Estate Revolution that consistently delivers the brand promise based on a “Run it Like a Business” value proposition for realtors

  5. Create/Write agent marketing templates for one-to-one, mass-personalized, and group group-segmented communications

  6. Edit/manage property marketing content for Internet Property Marketing Optimization™ and other property marketing collateral

  7. Edit/Manage Homeowners Club publications for multiple markets including: Austin; Salem, Oregon; Summit, New Jersey, which includes our 3 in-house monthly publications (LOCALE, Practical Homeowner, Real Estate & Lifestyle News) as well as monthly blogs on local real estate markets, national and regional real estate news, and upcoming events in each location.

  8. Edit/Manage Agent Neighborhood Expert Blog posts to synergize our agents’ Local Market Domination™ and Lifetime Connection Program™ marketing strategies.

Position starts immediately!

Position Requirements/Description:

  • College degree in marketing/journalism/writing (Master’s level a plus)

  • Minimum of 4-7+ years professional writing, editing, copywriting 

  • Excellent brand messaging and persona-targeted copy writing skills

  • Strong headline writing skills

  • Experience in writing White Papers, ad copy, product/service brochures

  • Portfolio of writing and editing samples (please include with response)

  • Content creation in multiple formats including eBooks, case studies, white papers, press releases, etc.

  • SEO best practices, keyword selection, tagging and metadata knowledge

  • Expert computer skills on Word

  • Must be able to consistently meet writing deadlines 

  • Experience with posting to Content Management Systems

  • Excellent grammar and copy editing skills

  • Must write within editorial guidelines and procedures (tone, brand voice, style guide)

  • Content curation experience a plus

  • Must be a good collaborator and team player – excellent people skills

  • Real Estate overall process/transactional knowledge

  • Personal experience buying and selling a home is a plus
