Johnson Publications, a progressive, family-owned community newspaper organization in Southwest Nebraska and Northeast Colorado, currently has an immediate opening for a news reporter/news editor for our weekly newspaper in Grant, Nebraska—The Grant Tribune-Sentinel.

Grant is located in southwest Nebraska and offers a variety of hunting, fishing, golfing and other outdoor opportunities. 

In this position, you will join an award-winning paper that’s dedicated to serving the community. Your ability to report, direct, craft and write stories will be key in your coverage of community news, sports, school and local government.

Working knowledge of InDesign and photography skills preferred but not required. Experience with other Adobe products and/or social media will be a plus.

Some prior journalism experience, either in college or in the field, preferred. Please provide background references.

Johnson Publications offers health insurance coverage, a 401K plan and life insurance/long term 
disability coverage. Salary ranges from $25-32K depending on your experience.
