The Las Vegas Review-Journal is offering a Features internship. Our team needs a dynamic storyteller who can cover the entertainment capital of the world as well as the interesting events and people behind the city's burgeoning arts, cultural and culinary scenes.

The ideal candidate is a junior or senior or a recent college graduate; has completed a previous internship or written features for a professional print or online publication; can generate original story ideas and handle breaking news assignments; can write clean copy quickly; can request, upload and archive photos; is active on all social media platforms and understands what appeals to a digital audience; and can shoot and edit video.

Start and end dates for the internship are flexible, but we're looking for someone who is able to begin in December and work through May, depending on availability. Interns work 40 hours a week and are paid $15 an hour ($600 a week). They are eligible for overtime pay if they are asked to work it. They also receive mileage reimbursement (about 35 cents per mile). A reliable vehicle is required.

The Review-Journal is an equal-opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace. A pre-employment drug screening is mandatory.

To apply, send a cover letter, resume and links to three to five work samples to Assistant Managing Editor for Features Anastasia Hendrix at ahendrix@reviewjournal.com. Please put "Features intern application" in the subject line.
