The Bangor Daily News is seeking a smart, inventive multimedia journalist to grow our audiences through visually dynamic videos, photos and graphics.

 The right candidate will be a talented storyteller and videographer who will create and aggregate engaging visuals covering everything from breaking news, sports and features to unique and interesting aspects of the communities we serve. This includes aggregating content, with a particular focus on visual content, copy editing, writing headlines and identifying and assembling compelling stories for posting. Reaching audiences through social media and measuring story performance are key parts of the role.

If you’re the right person for this challenge, this is how we would describe you: You are a digital native with a strong background in visual journalism. You are an aggressive self-starter. You are creative and original. You are obsessed with finding new ways to reach people. You have a strong sense of graphic presentation online, prior experience in growing news audiences and sound news judgment. You have excellent critical thinking skills.
