Assistant Managing Editor, Greenwich Time

As the Assistant Managing Editor for Greenwich Time, you will join a 125-year-old tradition of journalistic excellence and play a vital role in chronicling a vibrant, unique community.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the managing editor and reporters to cover breaking news for online and social media platforms and craft intelligent and in-depth enterprise stories for the print newspaper.
  • Help to plan and book the daily newspaper, and hone copy.
  • Mentor reporters as they work their beats, and develop and execute stories.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in journalism, English or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing newsroom personnel and producing high-quality breaking news and enterprise journalism across print and digital platforms.
  • Excellent writing and reporting skills, with a command of grammar, usage and AP style.
