The Aspen Institute, an educational and policy studies organization based in Washington, DC, is looking for a paid intern to provide digital, editorial, and administrative/logistical support to the Communications department in support of its work to promote the Institute’s programs, content, and overall brand to external audiences. The intern will cover events, write and prepare original blog posts, asssist the social media team, and perform other duties as needed to help the department manage the Institute's website, social media, media relations, and more. Applicants should be current college seniors or graduate students with excellent research, writing, and verbal skills. A working knowledge of content management systems and other digital tools ispreferred, knowledge of Photoshop is a plus, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required. The internship will be a minimum of 20 hours a week and will run from September to January with a possibility for extension.
