The Big Timber Pioneer, a family-owned weekly newspaper surrounded by mountains and blue-ribbon trout streams, has an immediate opening for a reporter. 

The ideal candidate will have a passion for reading newspapers, writing and taking photographs. A working knowledge of InDesign is a plus.

Big Timber is a small town of 1,700 located in the shadow of the Crazy Mountains, adjacent to the Yellowstone and Boulder Rivers. Sweet Grass County is an adventurer’s dream — there are plenty of opportunities for hiking, snowmobiling and some of the finest fly-fishing in the nation. The town also boasts some unique amenities for its size including two art galleries, multiple gyms, a museum and a movie theater.
