The writer/associate editor will handle all aspects of several corporate publications, conduct interviews, write stories, press releases, social media posts, web content and marketing materials; edit copy; liaison internally with other editors and graphic designers, and externally with clients. The writer/associate editor will also set, juggle and meet precise deadlines and production schedules for all projects. Clients span a variety of industries, including technology, automotive, healthcare, mining, apparel, education, non-profits and career services. Story subjects vary from writing first-person columns from company executives to features on corporate departments, employees, and products, to descriptive and unique copy for corporate marketing. The right candidate will preferably have a BA or extensive coursework in journalism and/or communications, with 1-3 years of experience preferred, and will possess great interpersonal, interview and writing skills. Teamwork, positive approach, attention to detail, organization, respect for deadlines, and the ability to juggle a wide variety of projects and requests are important skills for this fast-paced position.
